How to Deal with Stress in Tick-borne Infections or Mold Toxicity
Updated: January 29, 2025

Stress Management Action Steps and Supplements

In the video article, Marty Ross, MD discuss lifestyle strategies and nutritional supplements to take to manage stress in tick-borne infections like Lyme disease or mold toxicity.

Most people with tick-borne infections and mold toxicity have some degree of stress. The problem is, stress may

  • suppress your immune system,
  • disturb your sleep, and
  • even increase pain and inflammation.

Resources Mentioned in The Video

Limbic System Training Programs

Here are the three programs Dr. Ross mentions to train the limbic system so it is less reactive in people living with tick-borne infections or mold toxicity.

Supplements

  • Ashwagandha 400 to 500 mg 2 pills in the morning and 2 pills between 1 to 2 PM.
  • L-theanine 100 mg 1 to 4 pills three times a day. Start at 1 pill 3 times a day and increase as needed based on your respons.

Additional Resources

In addtion to the resources, I mentioned in the video, I also find benefit from the following supplements to decrease anxiety. These are alternatives to using the l-theanine or they can be taken in addition to the l-theanine.

  • 5 hydroxytryptophan (5 HTP) 100 mg 3 times a day. 5 HTP is a building block to raise serotonin in the brain. Serotonin can alleviate depression and calm anxiety.
  • Anti-Anxiety Herbal Combination 2 pills 2 times a day.
